With the most HD channels and astounding picture quality, DIRECTV delivers the ultimate HD experience. And it's easy as 1-2-3 to start enjoying it today.

HD-ready Television

Make sure your TV or the one you're about to purchase is "HD-ready." This means that it's capable of displaying at least 720 progressive lines of resolution. For the ultimate TV experience, consider a TV that's capable of 1080p resolution.

HD Receiver

Choose either the DIRECTV® HD or the DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR receiver. To enjoy programs in 1080p, the highest HD format, you need a DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR receiver connected to a 1080p-capable TV with an HDMI cable.

HD-Ready HD Programming Package

Choose the CHOICE XTRA™ + HD Access or PLUS HD DVR™ package. Or pick any other — package and select an HD receiver—we'll automatically add HD Access. An HD Access fee ($10.00/month) will be added automatically to your account.
