It’s easy to connect

Just follow these 4 simple steps to enjoy all the benefits of having your DIRECTV Receiver connected to the Internet.
Step 1
Press Menu on your remote. Select Settings > Internet Setup > Connect Now. If you’re reconnecting, select Reconnect Now.
Step 2
Choose your wireless network and enter your password on the next screen. Select Continue.
Step 3
Wait for Set Up Complete screen. You are now ready to enjoy the benefits of being connected!

If you're reconnecting to the internet, you can select Reconnect Now. If your box was previously connected to the network but has since lost connection, you can click on "Restore Defaults".

You can also connect your HD DVR to the internet by connecting one end of an ethernet cable to the port on the back of the receiver, and the other end to the ethernet port on the back of the wireless router. Once connected to your network, you'll see the Internet Setup Successful screen.

The DIRECTV App is available for both IOS and Android devices as well as with your web browser. After downloading the DIRECTV App onto your compatible device, you will be prompted to create a username and password. If you have already completed this step, simply log in with your user credentials.

DIRECTV SignalSaver is a feature that enables DIRECTV satellite customers to continue watching their TV programming in the event of a weak or lost satellite signal using the customer's internet-connected DIRECTV receiver. Available on 160+ most-watched channels (based on DIRECTV viewership). Requires HD DVR (model HR44 or later) connected to high-speed internet.
