MyHome Team™ from DIRECTV Offers Local Sports Fans the Option to Add an Expanding Portfolio of Regional Sports Channels

As the new 2025-26 NHL and NBA seasons get underway, DIRECTV’s new MyHome Team™  empowers local fans of 46 of the 83 NHL, NBA, or MLB franchises across the United States to connect with their favorite local teams.

Television and streaming’s recognized leader in regional and local sports, DIRECTV, unveiled the MyHome Team live-action Mini Pack on Opening Day of the current MLB baseball season as the means for the most loyal fans to keep supporting their local teams. MyHome Team builds upon the early success of DIRECTV’s earlier MySports Genre Pack, the industry-first sports-centric genre-based video offering, and a lynchpin to DIRECTV’s efforts to break the bloated bundle and offer consumers more choice and control over the content they wish to pay to have in their homes.

MyHome Team typically provides live pregame, postgame and in-game action to fans of the individual NHL, NBA, MLB or other key local teams within their respective regions. Consumers can also augment that local coverage with out-of-market sports packages, including NHL Center Ice or NBA League Pass, if they want access to the teams outside their NHL or NBA-mandated home territories. In addition to the local team games specific to their regions, MyHome Team provides fans access to news and commentary from teams outside their territory.

MyHome Team currently draws from a pool of 10 NHL, 18 NBA, and 18 MLB teams to service their local fans. Beginning this season, it will now add the NHL’s Washington Capitals and the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards for the first time. During the MLB season, it added local coverage for the Minnesota Twins, Texas Rangers, American League Central champion Cleveland Guardians, National League Central champion Milwaukee Brewers and defending Worlds Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers for the first time. DIRECTV expects to continue adding more NHL, NBA, MLB and other local teams, while further expanding MyHome Team’s availability into other major metro areas as the seasons progress.

Consumers can enter their zip code in the DIRECTV lookup tool to find the individual teams available in their area through MyHome Team.

DIRECTV has obtained the rights to each of the following regional sports networks to make its teams available through MyHome Team: Altitude Sports and Entertainment (servicing Denver and other regional cities), Chicago Sports Network and Marquee Sports Network (including Chicago), all the FanDuel Sports Networks (including Atlanta, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Memphis, Miami, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Nashville, Oklahoma City, Orlando, San Antonio, St. Louis, Tampa and several others), Rangers Sports Network (including Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and others), Spectrum Sports Net and Spectrum Sports Net Los Angeles in Southern California and Monumental Sports Network in Washington, D.C. and the surrounding four-state area.

DIRECTV is breaking up bloated cable bundles by offering consumers leaner lineups of channels at lower price points and the ability to mix and match from four Genre Packs and three Mini-Pack Add-ons. Each Genre Pack also includes access to 100+ channels available through MyFree DIRECTV.

• MySports caters to sports enthusiasts with more than 20 sports and broadcast channels, including NHL Network, NBA TV, NFL Network and MLB Network. MySports customers can cheer on their NHL and NBA hometown teams through the end of the season and upcoming postseasons via national games on ABC, ESPN, TBS, TNT and TruTV.  MySports also includes ESPN Unlimited.
• MySports Extra (Mini-Pack) delivers several sports channels, including MotorTrend, NFL Red Zone and Willow TV. The Mini-Pack addition is available to MySports customers.
• MyHome Team (Mini-Pack) delivers access to regional sports networks or team-specific channels covering professional teams in their respective metro areas.  The Mini-Pack addition is available to MySports customers.
• MyEntertainment gives consumers access to more than 40 channels filled with movies and shows from popular networks. MyEntertainment includes Disney+, Hulu Bundle Basic and Max Basic with Ads. 
• MyCinema (Mini-Pack) delivers classic films, romance and family programming from seven channels available to MyEntertainment, MyNews and MySports customers.
• MyNewsdelivers comprehensive coverage of U.S. and global news from more than 10 national channels and select local channels where available.
• MiEspañol offers an impressive lineup of more than 60 channels showcasing the best in Spanish-language programming. ViX Premium with Ads has also been added to the pack at no additional cost.
