The San Antonio Spurs were established in 1967 and are part of the Southwest Division. The Spurs were known as the Dallas Chaparrals (1967-1970) and Texas Chaparrals (1970-1971) before becoming the San Antonio Spurs in 1973 when the team was a part of the American Basketball Association (ABA). The Spurs have been one of the most successful teams in recent history, winning five titles since 1999. They play their home games at AT&T Center, located in San Antonio, Texas.
