    When you connect your DIRECTV satellite account to Movies Anywhere, your eligible purchased movies become available to watch on DIRECTV as well on Movies Anywhere and other participating digital retailers that you connected to your Movies Anywhere account.

    Movie rentals and TV show purchases are not supported on Movies Anywhere. Other AT&T video services are also not supported at this time on Movies Anywhere (e.g. AT&T TV, WatchTV, etc).

  • How do I connect my DIRECTV satellite account to my Movies Anywhere account?
    To connect your DIRECTV satellite account to your Movies Anywhere account:
    1. Click on the Get Started button at the top of this website. Or you can visit https://moviesanywhere.com/welcome and select Join Now.
    2. Go to https://www.moviesanywhere.com and sign in or create your Movies Anywhere account.
    3. Select your name on the top right corner to access your account settings and choose Manage Retailers.
    4. Select the Connect button for DIRECTV and follow the prompts
    Once you connect your DIRECTV satellite account to your Movies Anywhere account, you are subject to the DIRECTV Residential Customer Agreement and Privacy Policy, and the Movies Anywhere Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

  • Can I connect other AT&T account types besides DIRECTV satellite to Movies Anywhere?
    No. You can only connect your DIRECTV satellite account to your Movies Anywhere account. You will not be able to connect other AT&T accounts such as AT&T TV or WatchTV.

  • What if I don’t have an online DIRECTV satellite account?
    You can find information on how to create an online DIRECTV satellite account here.

  • What if I have forgotten my DIRECTV satellite account password?
    You can easily reset your DIRECTV satellite password.

  • Can I connect more than one DIRECTV satellite account to my Movies Anywhere account at the same time?
    No, you can only connect one DIRECTV satellite account to a Movies Anywhere account at the same time. If you have more than one DIRECTV satellite account, you can switch DIRECTV satellite accounts connected to your Movies Anywhere account once every 180 days. If you encounter an error, please contact Movies Anywhere customer service.

  • How do I purchase an eligible Movies Anywhere title from DIRECTV?
    You can purchase an eligible Movies Anywhere title from DIRECTV the same way you purchase a movie today. For more information, visit www.directv.com/purchases.

    The title will be automatically added to your DIRECTV library, Movies Anywhere library, and any other digital retail account that you connected to your Movies Anywhere account. It may take up to 24 hours for your movie to appear.

  • Where can I watch my Movies Anywhere-eligible titles?
    On DIRECTV, you can find your eligible Movies Anywhere titles in the purchases folder on your set-top box, the DIRECTV App, or directv.com.
    • To watch on your set-top box, broadband connected Genie HD DVR is required
    • To watch on the DIRECTV App or on directv.com, a compatible device is required
    You can find a list of supported DIRECTV devices at www.directv.com/purchases. Note that you will need the following mobile software versions:
    • iPhone – 5.21.004 or higher
    • iPad – 5.21.006 or higher
    • Android Phone – 5.21.003 or higher
    • Android Tablet – 5.21.003.RC or higher

  • If I purchase a Movies Anywhere-eligible title through another participating digital retailer service, can I watch it on DIRECTV?
    Yes, as long as all the criteria below are met, then you can watch the movie on DIRECTV:
    • Your DIRECTV satellite and the other digital retailer account are connected to your Movies Anywhere account.
    • The movie title is also available from DIRECTV.
    • The movie title is in High Definition resolution or higher.
    You can find out if a particular Movies Anywhere-eligible movie title is available on DIRECTV by performing a search on the set-top box, DIRECTV app, or directv.com.

    It could take up to 24 hours for an eligible title to be automatically added to your DIRECTV library, Movies Anywhere library, and any other digital retail account that you connected to your Movies Anywhere account.

  • I purchased a Movies Anywhere-eligible title in SD resolution through another participating digital retailer service but I can’t watch it on DIRECTV. What should I do?
    The title is not eligible for viewing on DIRECTV. You can watch the movie from the other participating retailer service from which you purchased the title. If that digital retailer account is connected to your Movies Anywhere account, you can watch the movie from the Movies Anywhere website or app.

  • I purchased a Movies Anywhere-eligible title in 4K resolution through another participating digital retailer service but I can only watch it in HD resolution on DIRECTV. What should I do?
    You will need compatible DIRECTV 4K equipment along with an authorized account in 4K to watch 4K content on DIRECTV. For more information, refer to https://watch.att.com/directv/4k/get-4k.

  • Requesting refunds on purchases of Movies Anywhere–eligible titles

  • How do I get a refund on Movies Anywhere-eligible titles I purchased from DIRECTV?
    Any movies purchased from DIRECTV are not refundable. All sales are final. Please refer to Terms & Conditions at www.directv.com/purchases.

  • I purchased a Movies Anywhere-eligible title from another participating digital retailer. Can I cancel that purchase on DIRECTV?
    No, you can only cancel your purchase with the digital retailer from which you purchased the title. Contact the retailer for more information.

  • I don’t remember from where I originally purchased my Movies Anywhere–eligible title. How do I get a refund?
    To determine the digital retailer from which you purchased a specific Movies Anywhere–eligible title, go to https://www.moviesanywhere.com > Settings > Transaction History to find the title. Or you can visit https://help.moviesanywhere.com for information and assistance.

  • Disconnecting from Movies Anywhere

  • How do I withdraw my consent for AT&T to share information with Movies Anywhere and disconnect my DIRECTV satellite account from my Movies Anywhere account?
    There are two ways to withdraw your consent for AT&T to share information with Movies Anywhere and disconnect your DIRECTV account from your Movies Anywhere account:
    • Access your DIRECTV account and follow the instructions.
    • Access your Movies Anywhere account settings, Manage Retailers, and select "Disconnect" for DIRECTV

  • If I disconnect my DIRECTV satellite account from my Movies Anywhere account, what happens to my movie collection?
    If you disconnect your DIRECTV satellite account from your Movies Anywhere account, all Movies Anywhere-eligible titles you previously purchased from DIRECTV and all movies that previously came into your DIRECTV purchases folder from your Movies Anywhere account, including movies purchased from other connected Movies Anywhere participating digital retailers, will remain in your DIRECTV purchases folder.

    Going forward, any Movies Anywhere-eligible movies you purchase from another Movies Anywhere participating digital retailer will not appear in your DIRECTV purchases folder, and any Movies Anywhere-eligible movies you purchase from DIRECTV will not appear in your Movies Anywhere account.

  • If I cancel my DIRECTV service, is my DIRECTV account disconnected from my Movies Anywhere account?
    Yes, your DIRECTV satellite account will automatically be disconnected from your Movies Anywhere account.

  • If I cancel my DIRECTV service, can I still access the Movies Anywhere-eligible movies that I had purchased from DIRECTV?
    If you cancel your DIRECTV service, the Movies Anywhere-eligible titles you purchased will no longer be available for viewing through DIRECTV. However, if your DIRECTV account is connected to your Movies Anywhere account before you cancel your DIRECTV service, your eligible DIRECTV purchases will appear in your Movies Anywhere account. You can continue to access those movies using Movies Anywhere, subject to the Movies Anywhere Terms of Use.

  • Renewing Your DIRECTV Data Sharing Consent for Movies Anywhere

  • How can I renew the consent I gave to AT&T so I can enjoy the full benefits of Movies Anywhere?
    To renew your consent, you will need to disconnect your DIRECTV satellite account from your Movies Anywhere account and then reconnect your DIRECTV satellite account to your Movies Anywhere account.
    1. Sign in to your Movies Anywhere account.
    2. Go to your account settings and select Manage Retailers.
    3. Select Disconnect next to DIRECTV and follow the instructions to disconnect.
    4. Select the Reconnect or Renew button for DIRECTV and follow the prompts.
