What to expect from your installation.

Getting Ready
If possible, clear any obstructions to the southern sky.

During Installation
Make sure an adult authorized to sign for completed work and make decisions about the home is present. A certified installer will:

  • Install a dish on your roof, side of home, balcony or other location.
  • Drill through one wall.
  • Connect your DIRECTV® Receiver to your current TV, audio receiver, VCR and/or DVD player.
  • Give you a mini-lesson about your system.
  • Activate your service.

The majority of DIRECTV customers need just one dish, no matter how many receivers/rooms. A select few customers may require an additional dish, depending on a customer's programming choices (Local Channels/International).

Rescheduling Your Installation

  • You can reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before installation.
  • You can also call us at 1–888–355–7530 with your order number (Hablamos Español).
