MLB Playoff and World Series Schedule
For 2022, several changes will be implemented to the MLB postseason format including an increase of involved teams to 12 (from 10) and an expanded Wild Card Series (instead of just one game). The Wild Card Series will kick off on Oct. 7. The National League and American League Division Series will start on Oct. 11, the NL and AL Championship Series will start on Oct. 18 and 19 respectively, all culminating on Oct. 28 with the start of The World Series.
