Now that the NL and AL Championship Series have concluded, the 2022 World Series is upon us. The World Series will feature a seven-game series between the Houston Astros and the Philadelphia Phillies and kicks off on Friday, October 28.

MLB Playoff and World Series Schedule

For 2022, several changes will be implemented to the MLB postseason format including an increase of involved teams to 12 (from 10) and an expanded Wild Card Series (instead of just one game). The Wild Card Series will kick off on Oct. 7. The National League and American League Division Series will start on Oct. 11, the NL and AL Championship Series will start on Oct. 18 and 19 respectively, all culminating on Oct. 28 with the start of The World Series.
