The Miami Marlins finished 2025 with a 79-83 record, which landed them third in the NL East and on the outside of the National League playoffs. The good news is it was a marked improvement from their 2024 performance, which saw them go 62-100.

Rookie manager Clayton McCullough in his first season as an MLB manager led this team to a winning record down the stretch and gave fans plenty to be excited about in the season to come.

Miami Marlins 2026 TV Schedule

The Marlins hit the lottery with the easiest two opening series on paper. They start their season with their home opener on Friday, March 27 at 7:10 p.m. ET against the Colorado Rockies, who finished just one loss short of the major league record for most losses in a season in 2025. Then they host the Chicago White Sox, who set the record for the most losses in an MLB season in 2023. The luck ends there, however, as they get a road trip to New York to take on the Yankees after that.

Here’s a look at the team’s upcoming game schedule for the first two months of the season, along with where to watch the games live. Games without national networks listed are typically available to watch on the team’s RSN, local streaming channel or MLB.tv team channel.

How did the Miami Marlins Do in 2025?

The Marlins finished 79–83 in 2025, placing third in the NL East and missing the playoffs, but it marked a significant improvement from their 100-loss 2024 season. Miami also posted its highest run total in a full season since 2017, fueled by a growing core of young talent.

Kyle Stowers led the way with a breakout year, hitting .288 with 25 home runs, 21 doubles and a .912 OPS, though his season was cut short by injury. Otto López contributed across the board with 15 home runs, 21 doubles, 15 steals and strong defense at shortstop, while Xavier Edwards emerged as an elite contact hitter, tallying 159 hits, 27 stolen bases and just 88 strikeouts.

Jacob Marsee impressed in limited action, hitting .292 with 14 steals and finishing eighth in Rookie of the Year voting. Agustín Ramírez also had a standout rookie campaign with 21 home runs, 33 doubles and 16 stolen bases, finishing sixth in voting, while Heriberto Hernández added a .347 OBP in 87 games. Javier Sanoja anchored the defense, winning a Gold Glove while playing multiple positions.

On the mound, Edward Cabrera led the rotation with a 3.53 ERA, and Ronnie Henriquez emerged as a dominant bullpen arm, posting a 2.22 ERA with 98 strikeouts in 73 innings.

How to Watch the Miami Marlins

For the games you can’t be in the stands for, DIRECTV’s MLB experience is a close second. Below are the channels you can expect to see Marlins games on during the 2026 season, along with the corresponding DIRECTV channel number.

Marlins Players to Watch in 2026

Here are the most promising Marlins players to watch this season.

Kyle Stowers, Left Field

Stowers experienced a breakout with 25 home runs and 21 doubles in just 117 games. A full season could easily see Stowers hit 30 home runs and drive in 100 RBIs while maintaining a .288 average. The All-Star is just finding his mark.

Jacob Marsee, Outfield

Marsee will start the season with the big-league club. In 55 games last season, he batted .292 with a .363 on-base percentage and a .478 slugging percentage. Nearly half of his hits went for extra bases, and he added 14 stolen bases on top of it.

Otto López, Shortstop

López was a contributor across the board for Miami with 21 doubles, 15 home runs, 15 stolen bases and Gold Glove caliber defense at short. Now entering his third season, Miami hopes that he can continue to improve his power numbers to go along with the rest of his skills.

Xavier Edwards, Second Base

In ostensibly his rookie season, Edwards hit .283 with a .343 on-base percentage. He hit 20 doubles, stole 27 bases and he and Otto Lopez formed an elite middle of the infield duo on the diamond. Miami hopes that he can find ways to hit with power toward the gaps to use his speed to collect extra bases. But he will be a fixture at the top of this Marlins order.

Agustín Ramírez, Catcher

Augustine Ramírez finished sixth in the Rookie of the Year voting, hitting 33 doubles, 21 home runs, driving in 67 and stealing 16 bases. Ramírez will likely get reps at designated hitter on occasion as the Marlins look to keep the slugger fresh.

Sandy Alcantara, Pitcher

Alcantara posted just his second season with double-digit wins, but he posted it along with a career-worst 5.36 ERA. The former All-Star and Cy Young candidate hasn’t been able to find the dominant command he once had. His 142 strikeouts in 2025 were the lowest of any full season in the majors. But it still seems completely possible that the six-foot-five right-hander has it in him to be elite anytime he takes the mound. He could be a player to watch, simply because he might be a trade candidate at some point in the season if he finds his form and Miami finds themselves out of it.

Eury Pérez, Pitcher

The 22-year-old had a respectable second season going 7-6 with a 4.25 ERA and 105 strikeouts in 95 innings. Batters hit .195 against him and he posted a 1.05 WHIP, which are both elite. It’s just when Pérez gets hit, he gets hit hard. If he can limit his home run rate, he has the makings of an ace for this Marlins staff.

Owen Caissie, Outfield

Casey looks like he will start the season with the big-league club. A second-round pick back in 2020, Caissie came over from the Cubs in their deal for Edward Cabrera. The left-handed outfielder hits for huge power, a career .280 hitter with a sharp eye at the plate.

Caissie appeared in just 12 games for the Cubs last season, collecting a home run and four RBIs. Through his career in the minors, he slugged .487 and averaged 29 doubles and 20 home runs over his last three seasons.

Thomas White, Prospect

Likely to start the season in Triple-A, White could very well find himself up with the big-league club at some point this season. Throughout the minors, he had a 38.6% strikeout rate in 2025, which ranked third across the minors. But with great reward comes great risk. White also saw his walk rate balloon to 13.6%. If he can even just reduce that to the league average, he has the kind of electric stuff that could turn him into an ace in the majors.

Robbie Snelling, Prospect

Another Marlins prospect that will start the year in Triple-A, Snelling gets results with a lively fastball, two different types of sliders and an upper-80s changeup. As he continues to improve his command, Snelling looks like a high-upside starter for this Marlins team.

Miami Marlins Rivalries: Miami Marlins vs. Tampa Bay Rays

As they’re still relatively new to Major League Baseball, the Marlins have not developed much in the way of rivalries. What hasn’t helped is that many of these Marlins seasons have been on the losing side of things. However, they do maintain a regional rivalry with the Tampa Bay Rays, who are just four hours up I-75. Tampa Bay currently leads that series 81-60.

Date Opponent Time
Fri, 5/15 at Tampa Bay Rays 7:10 p.m.
Sat, 5/16 at Tampa Bay Rays 4:10 p.m.
Sun, 5/17 at Tampa Bay Rays 12:15 p.m.
Fri, 6/5 vs Tampa Bay Rays 7:10 p.m.
Sat, 6/6 vs Tampa Bay Rays 4:10 p.m.
Sun, 6/7 vs Tampa Bay Rays 1:40 p.m.
