Texas has gotten steady production from Josh Jung, who is hitting .309 with a .365 on-base percentage, while Jake Burger leads the Rangers with 33 RBIs and adds nine home runs from first base. For the Angels, Mike Trout remains the top power threat with 12 home runs and 25 RBIs, and Jo Adell gives the lineup another contact option at .255. Players to Watch: Texas Rangers vs. LA Angels
Texas Rangers
Josh Jung — 3B. Jung is the Rangers’ steadiest bat, hitting .309 with a .365 on-base percentage as the everyday third baseman. His .474 slugging percentage gives Texas a doubles-and-drives threat in the middle of the order, particularly valuable with Corey Seager out.
Jake Burger — 1B. Burger brings power to the lineup with nine home runs and a team-high 33 RBIs while hitting .243. His run production makes him one of Texas’ key middle-order bats against an Angels staff trying to find steadier results.
Jacob deGrom — SP. deGrom takes the ball with a 3.02 ERA and 61 strikeouts across 50.2 innings of work. His 0.91 WHIP points to elite command, and a 3-3 record reflects more about run support than performance — the right-hander is firmly back among the rotation’s top arms.
LA Angels
Mike Trout — CF. Trout leads the Angels with 12 home runs and 25 RBIs while hitting .233, giving Los Angeles its top power bat. His .400 on-base percentage keeps him central to the Angels’ offense, even against a difficult matchup with deGrom.
Jo Adell — RF. Adell paces the Angels in batting average at .255 with a .398 slugging percentage from right field. His .299 on-base percentage trails what the team would like at the top of the order, but he remains the contact threat opposite Trout’s power.
Grayson Rodriguez — SP. Rodriguez has logged just 3.2 innings this season, posting a 17.18 ERA and 3.00 WHIP with 4 strikeouts in limited work. He’ll need to settle into a rhythm quickly against a Rangers lineup that has Jung and Burger swinging well.
