Players to Watch: Chicago Sky vs. Seattle Storm

Chicago Sky

Natasha Cloud — G. Point guard duties fall to Cloud, who is dishing out 4.8 assists per game while playing 28.4 minutes a night for Chicago. She protects the ball well for a lead guard, turning it over just 2.1 times per game, and her steady hand has helped keep the Sky offense organized through a rebuilding stretch.

Kamilla Cardoso — C. Cardoso controls the paint for Chicago, averaging 8.5 rebounds per game to go with a 6.0-to-2.5 split between defensive and offensive boards. The 26.5 minutes she logs per night make her one of the more heavily used bigs on either roster.

Azura Stevens — F. At forward, Stevens supplies scoring punch off Chicago’s frontcourt rotation, putting up 11.4 points per game on 40.8% shooting from the field. Her 79.3% mark at the free-throw line means those points come efficiently once she gets to the line.

Seattle Storm

Dominique Malonga — C. Seattle’s offense runs through Malonga, who leads the Storm with 17.1 points and 8.7 rebounds per game while shooting 50.1% from the floor. She also gets to the line often, converting 73.3% of her free throws, giving Seattle a reliable scoring option in the paint.

Natisha Hiedeman — G. Hiedeman handles primary ball-handling duties for the Storm, averaging 4.6 assists across a team-high 29.6 minutes per game. Her 2.3 turnovers per game keep her assist-to-turnover numbers respectable given the workload.

Awa Fam — C. Rebounding depth comes from Fam, who adds 5.9 boards and 10.5 points per game for Seattle on 45.8% shooting. She gives the Storm a second interior scoring option alongside Malonga on nights when the frontcourt needs more punch.
