We’re ready for the Ozarks. True Detective, the HBO hit anthology series, season three is set in the nearly mystical location in the southern US. The naturally occurring caves, plateaus, and mist only enhance the moody and, occasionally, creepy vibe this show has had from the beginning. Contrast that with the warm hospitality of the locals, and you get a disquietingly perfect setting for a murder show. As executive producer Nic Pizzolatto says “the setting is a character”.
