NYCFC (11-8-5) return to MLS competition by hosting Sam Surridge and NSC (14-7-5). NYCFC were enjoying a 2-0-1 stretch before being interrupted by an 1-2-0 run in the Leagues Cup. Surridge scored two of his 18 goals in a 2-2 tie against NYCFC in May.
