DIRECTV Helps Students Get Prom-Ready in Los Angeles with Warner Bros. Discovery

Prom season is one of the most exciting times of the school year; a chance for students to celebrate milestones, show off their personal style and make memories with friends before graduation. To help make that experience even more special, DIRECTV once again partnered with Warner Bros. Discovery to bring the Say Yes to the Prom tour to Los Angeles.

As the affiliate partner for the Los Angeles stop of the nationwide initiative, DIRECTV helped welcome local students to a two-day prom shopping experience on March 11–12. The event gave students the opportunity to find the perfect prom look while enjoying a day filled with fashion, fun and inspiration.

The Los Angeles stop is part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s long-running Say Yes to the Prom program, which helps students access prom attire and resources that make the milestone celebration even more memorable.

A Prom Shopping Experience to Remember

During the Los Angeles event, students had the chance to browse thousands of prom-ready looks and accessories donated by Macy’s, the program’s longtime retail partner. From elegant dresses to shoes, jewelry and finishing touches, students were able to find an outfit that reflects their personal style—at no cost.

The experience goes beyond just selecting a dress or tux. Students receive guidance and styling support throughout the day, helping them feel confident and excited for one of the biggest nights of the school year.

Adding to the excitement, fan-favorite Monte Durham from TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta joined the event to help students select the perfect look and bring extra energy to the shopping experience.

More Than Just Fashion

While the event is centered around prom, Say Yes to the Prom also focuses on inspiring students as they look ahead to their futures.

Throughout the day, participants had the opportunity to connect with Warner Bros. Discovery employees and volunteers who shared insights about careers in media and entertainment. Students also learned about mentorship programs, internship opportunities and scholarships that could help support their goals after graduation.

The Los Angeles stop was made possible through collaboration among several partners committed to helping students shine on prom night. In addition to Macy’s, partners including Men’s Wearhouse, L’Oréal and several apparel and accessories companies helped provide tuxedo fittings, beauty consultations and stylish finishing touches.

Together, these contributions help ensure students have everything they need—from head to toe—to celebrate their prom in style.
