Confederate soldiers Jerry Brewster (Thomas Hunter) and Ken Seagull (Nando Gazzolo) steal a fortune from the U.S. Army. But, when the partners in crime are ambushed by Union troops, they have to split up; Seagall escapes with the money, and Brewster gets a five-year jail sentence. When Brewster gets out, he discovers that his old crony is responsible for the death of his beloved wife. With the help of a gunslinger named Getz (Dan Duryea), Brewster embarks on a quest for vengeance.
