One for the Book

Sally Middleton (Eleanor Parker) is an actress who swears off love when her boyfriend (Kent Smith) ends their relationship. Meanwhile, her friend Olive Lashbrooke (Eve Arden) has no problem with finding dates -- and sometimes has too many. When Olive is supposed to meet Sgt. Bill Page (Ronald Reagan) at Sally's apartment, she stands him up in favor of a commander (Wayne Morris). With nowhere to go, Bill winds up spending the weekend with Sally, but she still fights those loving feelings.
