‘The Mob’ Episodes 5 and 6 Preview
Heading into Episodes 5 and 6, seven Family members remain after Harry Jowsey took the ring from Joe Gorga and whacked both the previous don and Romeo Miller. The results of the Episode 4 Loyalty Pledge were not revealed before the end of the episode, which leaves Jowsey’s hold on the chair open. Demi Engemann also survived Episode 4 after the Family had expected her to be next to go.
Episode 5, “Turns Out, I Am That Bitch,” finds Jowsey struggling to trust the players closest to him. The Cooking Job gives him and Shane Parton a chance to tamper with a dish, and the way the envelopes are handed out forces the don to be open about where the money goes.
Episode 6, “I Can Spot a Fake From a Mile Away,” brings a whacking that surprises several Family members.
What Happened on ‘The Mob’ Last Week?
Need a refresher? Here’s what happened across Episodes 3 and 4 of The Mob, which released together on November 2.
‘The Mob’ Episodes 3 and 4 Episode Recap
Episodes 3 and 4 cut the Family from 11 players to seven and moved the chair from Joe Gorga to Harry Jowsey. Episode 3, “This Is a Deadly Game,” began with Gorga whacking Bruno Tonioli.
Episode 3 also revealed that the Episode 2 Loyalty Pledge had left Gorga in power, but support for a new don was growing. Jowsey got some support from Chelsea Lazkani and Maria Georgas, while Willam Belli floated Aida Turturro as an alternative. Romeo Miller, hoping to stay close to Gorga, passed along what he had heard about both efforts.
Demi feared being Jowsey’s first target if he took the ring, so she urged Gorga to whack Jowsey first. Jowsey countered by steering Gorga’s attention toward Aida, which left him unsure which of them to remove.
‘The Mob’ Episodes 3 and 4 Jobs
Episode 3’s Crime Scene Job asked the Family to restore the villa’s poker room and boudoir to exactly how they looked the day before. Gorga, as don, sat out and named Miller the foreperson, the only player who could see pictures of the finished rooms. Georgas, Turturro, Jowsey, Parton and Belli took the poker room, while Lazkani, Mazar and Engemann took the boudoir.
Ten envelopes worth $30,000 were available. Miller spent most of his time coaching the smaller boudoir, which left the poker room team feeling abandoned. The Family secured four envelopes, three from the boudoir and one from the poker room, for $12,000.
Episode 4’s Crate Packing Job was the first under the new don and played like a moving-day task, with the Family scrambling to finish. Demi performed well, but much of the Family still expected her to be whacked after the Job.
‘The Mob’ Episodes 3 and 4 Don
Gorga stayed in power through Episode 3 by paying for support. He gave envelopes to Miller, who promised to keep him in the chair, and to Belli, who told him plainly that his vote required money. Gorga kept the remaining two for himself.
After Gorga whacked Turturro in Episode 4, the Family voted again and Jowsey was named the new don. Gorga lost the ring and complained that Jowsey did not respect the position. The vote totals were not shown.
As don, Jowsey paid out envelopes after the Crate Packing Job, including two to Georgas, who had begun to waver on him. The Loyalty Pledge that followed asked the Family whether to keep him, but the results were not revealed before the end of the episode.
‘The Mob’ Episodes 3 and 4 Whacking
Four Family members were whacked across the two episodes. At the start of Episode 3, Gorga chose Bruno Tonioli due to his close relationship with Demi, whom Gorga counted as his top ally. He had also considered Turturro.
At the beginning of Episode 4, Gorga whacked Turturro instead of Jowsey, after Jowsey told him the Family planned to make her the next don.
Jowsey’s first decision as don was a double whacking at the end of Episode 4. He whacked Gorga and Miller, the deposed don and a player who had backed him, which left seven Family members. Engemann, widely expected to be next, was spared.

What is ‘The Mob’ About?
From the producers of The Traitors, Hulu’s new reality competition series The Mob drops a group of celebrities into a lavish Italian villa, where they must shake down, hustle and whack their way to the finale. The competition challenges contestants to complete a series of mob-inspired jobs while navigating alliances, power struggles and betrayals within the family.
Each job gives contestants the opportunity to earn envelopes of cash for the Family. But completing the challenge doesn’t guarantee a payday. That’s up to the don, who decides which contestants receive a $3,000 envelope, money they get to keep even if they’re eliminated from the competition. At the end of the season, the final don also gets to decide how to divide the $100,000 grand prize.
The group picks one of their own to run the Family, and whoever takes the chair holds enormous power over who earns money, who stays and who gets whacked. The rest are not stuck with the decision, though. A don who overreaches can be overthrown, which turns every job into a question of whether to serve the boss or start counting votes against them.
Season 1 brings 12 celebrities to Italy, drawn from across reality television and scripted TV. The show is hosted by Hollywood actress Parker Posey, best known for her roles in The White Lotus, You’ve Got Mail and Scream 3. New episodes of The Mob drop weekly on Hulu every Monday.
