‘Silo’ Season 3 Cast and Character Guide

Much of the cast returns for season 3, but a slate of new characters will join as a prequel plot that will uncover much more about the world’s origins.

Spoilers from Silo Season 1 and 2 ahead!

Rebecca Ferguson as Juliette Nichols

Known for: Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Fallout & Dead Reckoning (Ilsa Faust), Dune (Lady Jessica), The Greatest Showman (Jenny Lind), The White Queen (Elizabeth Woodville)

Juliette Nichols is a brilliant, fiercely independent resident from the Down Deep who spent years maintaining the generator that keeps Silo 18 alive. After years in Mechanical, she reluctantly accepted the title of sheriff after Sheriff Holston left it to her. As sheriff, she learned more and more about how the Silo was run, uncovering a truth far darker than she imagined.

Sentenced to clean at the end of Season 1, Juliette accomplished the impossible by surviving outside before discovering Silo 17 and its lone survivor, Solo.

Juliette’s journey expands the aperture of the world of the show, and in Season 3, she returns to Silo 18 with knowledge that could change everything its residents believe about their history and their future. She just needs to remember it.

Common as Robert Sims

Known for: Hell on Wheels (Elam Ferguson), Selma (James Bevel), John Wick: Chapter 2 (Cassian), Suicide Squad

Bernard is the head of IT for Silo 18. Strict, chilling, and seemingly all-knowing, he is the keeper of the Silo’s greatest secrets. When Juliette survives outside—something that should be impossible—Bernard must scramble to contain the fallout and maintain order.

Recognizing Lukas Kyle’s intelligence and dangerous curiosity, Bernard takes him on as his new shadow, hoping to use Lukas’s curiosity to uncover knowledge even he does not possess. But what Lukas ultimately discovers leaves Bernard catatonic, revealing a terrifying truth: he never had as much power as he believed.

Tim Robbins as Bernard Holland

Known for: The Shawshank Redemption (Andy Dufresne), Mystic River (Academy Award winner), The Player, Bull Durham

Bernard is the head of IT for Silo 18. Strict, chilling, and seemingly all-knowing, he is the keeper of the silo’s greatest secrets. When Juliette survives outside, something that should be impossible, Bernard must scramble to contain the fallout and maintain order.

Recognizing Lukas Kyle’s intelligence and dangerous curiosity, Bernard takes him on as his new shadow, hoping to use Lukas’s dangerous questions and inquisitiveness to uncover knowledge even he does not possess. But what Lukas ultimately discovers leaves Bernard catatonic, revealing a terrifying truth: he never had as much power as he believed.

Harriet Walter as Martha Walker

Known for: Succession (Logan Roy’s ex-wife), Ted Lasso, The Crown (Clementine Churchill), Sense and Sensibility, Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Martha Walker is an elderly engineer in the Down Deep who helped raise Juliette and the leaders of Mechanical. Brilliant, stubborn, and loyal to those she trusts, Walker has been Juliette’s mentor and surrogate parent since she was a teenager. After losing the love of her life to the Silo’s oppressive rules, she remained housebound for years, retreating from the world she once helped keep running. But when the fate of the Silo hangs in the balance, Walker is forced to step back into the fight.

Avi Nash as Lukas Kyle

Known for: The Walking Dead (Siddiq), Black Mirror

Lukas is an inquisitive, sweet citizen living in the Silo. We first meet Lukas Kyle in Season 1 staring at the stars in the upper cafeteria.

He endears himself to Juliette, which is both exciting and dangerous as it makes him a pawn Judicial can use against her. His relentless questions and growing knowledge ultimately mark him as a threat, earning him a 10-year sentence of hard labor in the mines. But when Bernard realizes Lukas may be the key to uncovering truths about the Silo that even he cannot explain, he brings him back as his shadow in hopes of unlocking its deepest mysteries.

Rick Gomez as Patrick Kennedy

Known for: Band of Brothers (Sergeant George Luz), Supergirl, Arrow

Patrick Kennedy is a grizzled maintenance worker who dips his toes into the criminal world of relics. After his wife died, he chased a life of crime and money regardless of the danger to himself. Patrick plays a key role in helping Juliette uncover information from the hard drive and the true origins of the Silo. He also becomes a fearless member of the rebellion brewing in the Down Deep.

Chinaza Uche as Paul Billings

Known for: A Good Person, Come Home

Paul Billings is one of the few principled men in Judicial who is assigned to be Juliette’s shadow after she is promoted to sheriff. While he doesn’t condone her methods, he can’t help but recognize that her pursuit of truth is pure and that the principles of the Silo’s constitution he had held so dearly were far more fragile than he thought.

Billings shifts from adversary to ally for Juliette, and when she is sent out to clean and presumed dead, he takes it upon himself to continue her journey. Billings also suffers from the Syndrome, a genetic condition that alters the nervous system that the Silo had deliberately tried to eradicate, making his very existence a threat to himself and his family.

Shane McRae as Knox

Known for: Halt and Catch Fire, The Americans, The Leftovers

Knox is the head of Mechanical in the Down Deep and becomes the de facto community leader when Juliette is promoted to sheriff. He isn’t afraid to put himself in the line of fire, especially when it concerns the well-being of those in the Down Deep. Increasingly, he serves as a guardian to Walker and all the other vulnerable people Judicial is threatening in order to turn up information on Juliette.

Remmie Milner as Shirley Campbell

Known for: His Dark Materials, Save Me, A Christmas Carol (2019)

Shirley is a Mechanical engineer in the Down Deep and a close friend of Juliette and Knox. A leading force in the revolution brewing in the Down Deep, she grew up with a chip on her shoulder like many from the lower levels of the Silo. She is tough and principled, and not at all hesitant to put herself between those who are being threatened.

Alexandria Riley as Camille Sims

Known for: Emergence, Blindspot

Camille served as a raider for Judicial, on the front lines of harsh crackdowns to keep the citizens of the Silo in line. After a dozen years, she transferred to IT, where the slower pace gave her the time to ask questions and more deeply understand the great mysteries and dangerous secrecy of the Silo. At the end of Season 2, the vault requests her presence as she is poised to learn more than anyone else in the Silo.

Clare Perkins as Carla McLain

Known for: EastEnders, Wanderlust, Truckers

Carla leads the Supply department and is Walker’s ex-wife. Their divorce, forced by Judicial, is what caused Walker to remain isolated in her apartment. Despite living many levels above the Down Deep, Carla has deep admiration for its residents and helps protect Juliette’s life when she is sent out to clean. In Season 2, she is used as a pawn to get Walker to reveal information about Juliette and, in particular, Juliette’s ability to survive outside, which could only have happened with intervention from Supply.

Billy Postlethwaite as Hank

Known for: Peaky Blinders, The Innocents, MotherFatherSon

Hank is an enforcement deputy in the sheriff’s department assigned mainly to the Engineering levels. One of a handful in the department who operates with honor and integrity, he is the only one in the Silo who understands the struggle of growing up in the Down Deep. Hank often tries to keep the peace, but when push comes to shove, he does his best to help those in Engineering and Mechanical.

Steve Zahn as Jimmy Conroy / “Solo”

Known for: The White Lotus, War for the Planet of the Apes (Bad Ape), Reality Bites, That Thing You Do!, Rescue Dawn, Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Solo is a survivor who has been living inside the Silo 17 IT vault since a rebellion that broke out when he was a child. Put there by his father to guard against it, decades of isolation have slowly started to take a toll on his mind. That changes when Juliette stumbles upon him in Season 2 and introduces him to other survivors in the Silo.
