What is ‘One Battle After Another’ About?
Based on the novel Vineland by Thomas Pynchon, One Battle After Another follows Bob (Leonardo DiCaprio), a washed-up revolutionary of the French 75 who lives in a state of stoned paranoia, surviving off grid with his spirited and self-reliant daughter, Willa (Chase Infiniti).
When his nemesis resurfaces after 16 years and Willa goes missing, the radical reunites his former revolutionary group to save his daughter.
When Did ‘One Battle After Another’ Release in Theaters?
One Battle After Another hit theaters on September 26, 2025. It’s the first film from Paul Thomas Anderson to receive a theatrical release in IMAX theaters with limited IMAX 70mm screenings.
Additionally, just four theaters are showing the film in VistaVision: The Vista Theater (Los Feliz, Los Angeles), Regal Union Square (Union Square, New York), Coolidge Corner Theatre (Brookline, MA) and Odeon Leicester Square (West End, London).
While no date has been set, as a Warner Bros. production, the film will release at home on HBO Max after a theatrical run.
