Golden State Warriors (1-1) at Portland Trail Blazers (0-0) — Game Preview
The Golden State Warriors (1-1) travel to the Moda Center to face the Portland Trail Blazers (0-0) on October 7, with both teams sitting 0.5 games behind in the standings. This marks Portland’s season opener as they look to establish their footing early in the campaign.
Stephen Curry, playing through a day-to-day rest consideration, still directs the Warriors’ offense, while Shaedon Sharpe, unavailable due to right knee surgery, leaves a gap in the Trail Blazers’ lineup. Draymond Green, also day-to-day for rest, provides defensive stability for Golden State, while Portland will rely on their depth to compensate for Sharpe’s absence.
Golden State enters with a mix of veteran presence and new additions, even though they face availability challenges, including Jimmy Butler III out following right knee surgery. Portland carries no such absences beyond Sharpe tonight, allowing them to field a full roster for their opening game.
