‘Beef’ Season 2 Cast and Characters: Every Actor and Role Explained

As an anthology series, Beef Season 2 features a brand new story with an entirely new cast. This season promises to be even more complex, with the drama of multiple couples weaving and colliding across all eight episodes of the Netflix series.

Oscar Isaac as Joshua “Josh” Martín,

In Beef Season 2, Oscar Isaac (Ex Machina, Marriage Story) plays Joshua Martín, the general manager of the elite private club Monte Vista Point. Josh runs the club alongside his wife Lindsay, all while battling for the approval of the club’s billionaire owner, Chairwoman Park. When lower-level employees Austin and Ashley witness a vicious argument between Josh and Lindsay that appears to turn violent, it sets the entire season in motion.

Carey Mulligan as Lindsay Crane-Martín

Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman, Saltburn) plays Lindsay, Josh’s wife and partner in navigating the politics of Monte Vista Point. Though not a direct employee of the club, Lindsay is deeply tied to it through her marriage. She and Josh must present a united front to win Chairwoman Park’s favor — while simultaneously containing the fallout after Austin and Ashley witness their explosive fight.

Charles Melton as Austin Davis

Charles Melton (May December) plays Austin, a more junior employee at Monte Vista Point with dreams of becoming a personal trainer. Newly engaged to his coworker Ashley, the two are just beginning to map out their future together when they witness the general manager of the country club and his wife in a terrifying confrontation. Austin and Ashley quickly realize the encounter could be used as leverage in their own bid to win over the club’s powerful owner — but the pressure will test their relationship to its limits.

Cailee Spaeny as Ashley Miller

Cailee Spaeny (Alien: Romulus, Priscilla) plays Ashley in the second season of Beef, a support staff member at Monte Vista Point and Austin’s fiancée. Ambitious and perceptive, Ashley recognizes an opportunity when she and Austin witness their general manager Josh in an altercation with his wife Lindsay. She pushes to use what they saw as leverage to land in the good graces of Chairwoman Park — though how far that gamble takes them is another matter entirely.

Youn Yuh-jung as Chairwoman Park

Youn Yuh-jung (Minari) plays Chairwoman Park, the billionaire owner of Monte Vista Point whose approval everyone at the club is desperately competing for. While Josh and Lindsay maneuver from one direction and Austin and Ashley scheme from another, Chairwoman Park is navigating private drama of her own with her husband, Dr. Kim — unaware of the fierce battle playing out in her name.

Song Kang-ho as Doctor Kim

In Beef Season 2, Song Kang-ho (Parasite) plays Dr. Kim, a prominent plastic surgeon in Seoul and Chairwoman Park’s second husband. As he and Chairwoman Park manage the complications of their own relationship, the two remain unaware that a quiet war for their approval is already underway at their own country club.

Beef Season 2 rounds out its ensemble with a deep bench of supporting players and surprise cameos. Seoyeon Jang plays Eunice, Chairwoman Park’s personal assistant and interpreter. Mikaela Hoover plays Ava, the much younger wife of Troy (William Fichtner).
