New York Yankees
Cody Bellinger — LF. Bellinger holds down left field for New York and is hitting .267 this season with a .349 on-base percentage. His .420 slugging percentage gives the Yankees lineup a steady source of extra-base production from the outfield.
Ben Rice — DH. Designated hitter Ben Rice has emerged as the Yankees’ top power threat, launching 35 home runs and driving in 87 runs. He is hitting .253 on the season, a number that undersells the impact of his power production in the middle of New York’s order.
San Diego Padres
Fernando Tatis Jr. — RF. A .284 average and a .449 slugging percentage make Fernando Tatis Jr. one of the most complete hitters in San Diego’s lineup from right field. His .350 on-base percentage rounds out a well balanced offensive game.
Manny Machado — 3B. Third baseman Manny Machado has driven in 75 runs to go with 24 home runs this season for the Padres. His .219 average trails Bellinger’s .267, Rice’s .253 and Tatis Jr.’s .284, though his power keeps him anchored in the middle of the San Diego order.
