Milwaukee Brewers (95-58) at Baltimore Orioles (75-78) — Game Preview

The Milwaukee Brewers arrive at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on September 18, 2026 sitting at 95-58, while the Baltimore Orioles enter the game at 75-78. Baltimore has actually outhomered the visitors as a team, launching 188 home runs to Milwaukee’s 147, even though the Brewers own the far better staff mark with a 3.58 team ERA against Baltimore’s 4.14. Jake Bauers has powered much of Milwaukee’s attack at first base, hitting .269 with 26 home runs and 83 RBIs, while Baltimore counters with Pete Alonso, who is hitting .267 with 37 home runs and 102 RBIs of his own at the same position. Brice Turang leads the Brewers with 93 RBIs, well ahead of Bauers’ 83, giving Milwaukee production up and down the lineup even without much power from the middle infield.

Gunnar Henderson has added 23 home runs and 58 RBIs from shortstop to help offset some of that gap for Baltimore. Milwaukee sits in first place in the NL Central, while the Orioles sit 18.5 games back in the AL East as the regular season winds down.

Players to Watch: Milwaukee Brewers vs. Baltimore Orioles

Milwaukee Brewers

Jackson Chourio — LF. Chourio is hitting .286 with a .343 on-base percentage and a .481 slugging mark, giving Milwaukee a genuine table-setter at the top of the lineup. His blend of contact and pop keeps traffic on the bases ahead of the Brewers’ power bats in the middle of the order.

Jake Bauers — 1B. Bauers anchors the middle of Milwaukee’s order, hitting .269 with 26 home runs and 83 RBIs this season. He pairs that home run total with enough contact to keep his average north of .265, making him one of the more reliable power sources in the Brewers’ lineup.

Brice Turang — 2B. Turang leads the Brewers with 93 RBIs, well ahead of Bauers’ 83, despite carrying just 19 home runs and a .265 average. His knack for driving in runs without needing to hit for power has made him a steady presence in a deep Milwaukee order.

Baltimore Orioles

Pete Alonso — 1B. Alonso is hitting .267 with 37 home runs and 102 RBIs, well clear of Gunnar Henderson’s 23 home runs and 58 RBIs, as Baltimore’s most productive bat this season. His .361 on-base percentage and .503 slugging mark round out a season that has kept the Orioles’ offense afloat even as the team sits at 75-78 on the year.

Gunnar Henderson — SS. Henderson has combined 23 home runs with a .306 on-base percentage and .397 slugging mark from the shortstop position, giving Baltimore a power bat up the middle of the infield. He is hitting .221 on the season, a number that undersells the impact of his 58 RBIs and extra-base pop.

Jeremiah Jackson — 2B. Jackson has appeared in 94 games at second base, hitting .229 with 9 home runs and 43 RBIs. His .382 slugging percentage gives Baltimore a bit of pop from the bottom of the lineup, a complement to the more established bats ahead of him.
