Zendaya is having yet another massive year. She stars in three films alongside Robert Pattinson and two with her partner Tom Holland, putting her in position to have one of the biggest years at the box office in 2026.
‘The Drama’ (April 3)
Director: Kristoffer Borgli
Starring: Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie
The Drama tells the story of Charlie and Emma, a young, happy couple approaching their wedding, when an innocent night of drinking with friends takes a sinister turn. As the group swaps stories from their pasts, Emma, known for her kind and quiet nature, reveals a disturbing secret from her childhood that threatens to derail her happily ever after.
Zendaya plays Emma, whose confession becomes the center of the film as she is forced to confront a painful part of her childhood while her fiancé struggles with what the revelation means for their relationship and rapidly approaching wedding. The A24 film marks a more grounded, character-driven role for Zendaya, who stars alongside Robert Pattinson for the first of three times in 2026.
The film’s main conflict has proven to be divisive among viewers, but Zendaya’s performance has nevertheless received widespread praise.
‘The Odyssey‘ (July 17)

Starring: Zendaya, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson
Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s epic follows Odysseus’ perilous journey home after the Trojan War in The Odyssey. Along the way, the legendary Greek hero encounters gods, monsters and other obstacles that turn his voyage back to Ithaca into a years-long struggle for survival.
Donned in flowing white robes, Zendaya appears as Athena, the goddess of wisdom and guidance who plays a large role in Odysseus’ journey. During his long voyage home, Athena appears to Odysseus in brief, dreamlike visions to help guide his decisions. It is Zendaya’s first collaboration with Nolan, in arguably the biggest film of 2026.
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘ (July 31)

Starring: Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo
Following the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker navigates a world in which everyone has forgotten that he exists. Cut off from his former relationships, Peter falls into a secluded and reckless lifestyle, dedicating himself to protecting New York City as Spider-Man.
Zendaya reprises her role as Michelle “MJ” Watson opposite Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. After building a new life for herself at MIT, MJ finds herself drawn to the friendly neighborhood hero, despite not remembering Peter himself. The film scored the biggest opening weekend of the year and is the final Marvel theatrical release before Avengers: Doomsday arrives in December.
During the film’s production, Zendaya worked with the writers to ensure MJ’s sharp, dry and somewhat awkward personality from the previous films came through, even as she matures into young adulthood.
‘Dune: Part Three’ (December 18)

Starring: Timothée Chalamet, Florence Pugh, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Jason Momoa, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson
Dune: Part Three delivers the conclusion to Denis Villeneuve’s epic trilogy, following Dune and Dune: Part Two. The film takes place over a decade after the events of the prior movie, with Paul Atreides as emperor of the Imperium. But his rise to power has come at an enormous cost, as the religious movement built around him continues to spread.
Zendaya returns as Chani, the strong, relentless Fremen warrior who fought alongside Paul throughout the first two films and eventually became his romantic partner. Their relationship was left fractured at the end of Dune: Part Two after Paul agreed to marry Princess Irulan as part of his claim to the throne. Chani remains central to the story as the consequences of Paul’s rule begin to unfold.
