CITI CONCERT SERIES ON TODAY: JASON MRAZ Brings Good Vibes to Rockefeller Plaza This Friday

This Friday, August 10th, GRAMMY-winning singer Jason Mraz will be taking over the famous Rockefeller Plaza in New York City to perform as part of TODAY’s Citi Concert Series.

Mraz is no stranger to the stage. He started performing in coffee shops across the San Diego area in 2000 and released his first album, Waiting for My Rocket to Come just two years later. The album quite literally skyrocketed him to fame, with his hit single “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry)”, and he’s been pumping out great music ever since.

His biggest songs “I’m Yours”, “I Won’t Give Up”, “Make it Mine”, and “Lucky” are sure to be belted out by both Mraz and his fans, this Friday. And he may even perform some of the songs from his new album, Know, which also comes out this Friday. With singles like “Have It All”, “Unlonely”, and “Might as Well Dance”, Mraz reminds us all to see the light at the end of the tunnel – something I think we could all use nowadays.

In addition to his new album, Mraz just wrapped up a three-month stint on Broadway, starring as Dr. Pomatter, the romantic lead in Sara Bareilles’ new musical Waitress. And, when asked about his time on this new type of stage, Mraz gushed over the experience!

“I loved that I didn’t have to write a set list every day. I didn’t have to pick out my clothes. I knew exactly what I was going to do every day, every night. And it was a thrill!”

He’s even drawing inspiration from the musical for his new tour, Good Vibes, adding fun costumes, new dance moves, and all-around entertainment to his shows, which he says he never would’ve been comfortable doing before Broadway. Don’t miss out on any of the fun and get your tickets today. Then, be sure to listen to all the new singles before his concert on Friday!
