2026 ACC Baseball Tournament Format
The ACC Baseball Tournament uses a single-elimination postseason format, with conference tournament seeding determined by regular season ACC standings.
Higher-seeded teams earn more favorable tournament positioning based on their performance throughout conference play, making every ACC baseball series important during the regular season.
The tournament champion receives the ACC’s automatic berth into the NCAA Baseball Tournament and continues the road toward the Men’s College World Series.
Clemson enters the postseason as the reigning ACC Tournament champion, while Florida State has reached four consecutive ACC championship games.
NCAA Baseball Tournament & College Baseball World Series
Following conference tournament play, the NCAA Baseball Tournament begins with a 64-team field competing for the national championship. Conference tournament champions receive automatic bids to the NCAA Tournament, while the remaining at-large teams are selected based on regular season performance, RPI and strength of schedule.
The NCAA postseason begins with Regionals and Super Regionals before the final eight teams advance to the Men’s College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Men’s College World Series features a double-elimination format before concluding with a best-of-three national championship series.
Louisville was the ACC’s lone representative in last season’s Men’s College World Series, and several ACC programs are expected to contend for Omaha again in 2026.
