ON DEMAND VS. PAY PER VIEW EVENTS
If you’ve heard of On Demand, you’re likely also familiar with Pay Per View content. But what’s the difference? We’ll go over a few of them here.
- On Demand content is included in your DIRECTV package, while Pay Per View Events come with a fee. The fee changes depending on the event being shown.
- DIRECTV On Demand has thousands of movies and shows to watch at any time. Pay Per View Events are pre-scheduled events (like boxing matches or wrestling) which customers can order up to 12 days before the event airs.

DIRECTV ON DEMAND VS. DIRECTV MOVIES
Another tangential offering from DIRECTV is DIRECTV Movies. With this feature, you can watch the latest Hollywood movies and your favorite classics without needing to get up from the couch. Say “hello” to your personal home cinema.
Similar to Pay Per View Events, DIRECTV Movies are on sale for an additional fee and can be rented for 48 hours or purchased.
HOW TO ACCESS DIRECTV ON DEMAND
To get started with DIRECTV’s On Demand service, go to Ch. 1000 to browse available TV content. You can also press the Menu button on your remote to search for a specific title.
If you know which network shows the title you’re interested in, you can also browse On Demand titles that way. Simply put a 1 in front of the channel number to browse the network’s available content.
For Pay Per View Events and DIRECTV Movies, DIRECTV offers a number of ways to get your content. You can order right from your TV screen. For PPV, customers can visit Ch. 123 and Ch. 124 on the guide to view current or upcoming events.
