Las Vegas averages 89.9 points per game to Phoenix’s 83.7, a gap that shows up in the shooting numbers too, with the Aces converting 48.7 percent of their shots against a 43.7 percent clip for the Mercury.

A’ja Wilson anchors that home-side attack, putting up 26.1 points per game on 52.4 percent shooting while also pulling down 9.4 rebounds a night, leading the Aces in both categories this season. Players to Watch: Phoenix Mercury vs. Las Vegas Aces

Phoenix Mercury

Kahleah Copper — G. Copper leads Phoenix’s scoring at 20.8 points per game, doing it efficiently on 41.6 percent shooting from the field. She’s reliable from the line too, connecting on 79.9 percent of her free-throw attempts, giving the Mercury a scorer who can close out tight possessions.

Alyssa Thomas — F. At forward, Alyssa Thomas runs point for Phoenix in a sense, logging 33.5 minutes a night and piling up 8.2 assists per game, an unusual workload for a player her size. That distribution comes with some risk, as her 3.7 turnovers per game reflect how often the ball moves through her hands.

DeWanna Bonner — F. Bonner rounds out Phoenix’s frontcourt production, contributing 9.0 points and 5.2 rebounds per game off a frame that has anchored the Mercury’s boards for years. Most of that rebounding comes on the defensive glass, where she grabs 4.6 boards a night compared to 0.6 on the offensive end, and she remains sharp from the line at a 90.5 percent clip.

Las Vegas Aces

A’ja Wilson — C. Center A’ja Wilson paces the entire matchup offensively, averaging 26.1 points per game on 52.4 percent shooting to go with 9.4 rebounds a night. She splits that rebounding work with 7.6 coming on the defensive end and 1.9 on the offensive glass, and she gets to the free-throw line enough to make 82.7 percent count.

Chelsea Gray — G. Gray directs the Las Vegas offense from the point, averaging 7.3 assists across 33.3 minutes a night. Her 3.1 turnovers per game keep that ratio in check, a sign of the control she brings to a team already loaded with scoring options.

Jackie Young — G. Alongside Gray in the backcourt, Jackie Young supplies a second scoring option for Las Vegas, putting up 16.5 points and 6.8 assists per game. She backs that up with 46.6 percent shooting from the field and an even sharper 94.0 percent from the line, turning the ball over just 2.4 times a night despite the playmaking load.
