Mr. Dodd Takes the Air

Young electrician Claude L. Dodd (Kenny Baker) breaks into radio when his singing attracts the attention of the sponsor for the Master Baritone program. Unsure about his sudden fame, Claude remains reserved, becoming friends with radio station secretary Marjorie (Jane Wyman) and developing an electronic gadget on the side. When he abruptly embraces his popularity, Claude gets a swelled head and falls prey to a conniving gold digger who secretly plans to steal his untried invention.
