Captain Applejack

Ambrose Applejohn (John Halliday) lives a life of pampered luxury but secretly wishes things were more exciting. He shares his thoughts with Poppy (Mary Brian), one of his young servants, but thinks nothing will ever come of it. One night, during a terrible rainstorm, he receives a crush of visitors, including a Frenchwoman (Kay Strozzi) and a mysterious count (Arthur Edmund Carewe). As the night wears on, Applejohn becomes suspicious of his guests and experiences strange flashbacks.
