Dansby Swanson — SS. Swanson’s .203 average hasn’t dulled his run-production value: 49 RBIs and 13 home runs out of the shortstop spot give the Cubs meaningful production from the middle of the infield. The 49 RBIs ahead of Crow-Armstrong’s 46 show just how productive Chicago’s middle of the order has been, and the power from a shortstop is a genuine lineup multiplier.
Ian Happ — LF. Happ brings left-handed pop to a Cubs lineup that has hit 104 home runs as a team, contributing 17 of them with 41 RBIs and a .450 slugging percentage in left field. His .330 OBP and the Cubs’ team mark of .338 on base give Chicago a lineup built to put runners on base consistently.
