The Los Angeles Lakers lead their first-round Western Conference series 2-0 and travel to Houston looking to take a commanding advantage in Game 3. LeBron James has been the catalyst with averages of 23.5 points, eight rebounds and ten assists through the first two games while Luke Kennard leads the team at 25 points per game. Houston shot just 24 percent from three-point range across the first two games compared to the Lakers’ 46 percent and will need a sharp improvement at home. Luka Doncic remains sidelined with a hamstring injury and Austin Reaves is questionable, giving the Rockets an opening if they can take care of the ball and get Kevin Durant going.

Luke Kennard — Guard. Team-leading 25 points per game through two games, shooting 46 percent from three-point range. Kennard has been the Lakers’ most efficient offensive option and the Rockets will need to account for his shooting off the catch in Game 3.
Houston Rockets
Kevin Durant — Forward. Listed as questionable for Game 3 with an ankle sprain. Houston shot 40.4 percent in Game 2 with Durant in the lineup but still fell short, and the Rockets need him healthy and productive to have any chance of cutting into the series deficit at home.
