No. 20 Oregon Ducks (2-1) at No. 12 USC Trojans (4-0) — Game Preview
No. 20 Oregon (2-1) heads to Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to face No. 12 USC (4-0) in a ranked Big Ten showdown with real conference weight. The Trojans arrive unbeaten while the Ducks carry one loss and a chance to climb the poll with a road win over a higher-ranked league rival. Jayden Maiava gives USC a prolific passing game at 1,173 yards and 12 touchdowns against just 1 interception, while Dante Moore answers for Oregon with 849 yards and 9 touchdowns on 61 of 89 attempts.
That quarterback duel frames the night, but both backfields carry weight too. Players to Watch: Oregon Ducks vs. USC Trojans
Oregon Ducks
Dante Moore — QB. Efficiency defines his start, with 61 completions on 89 attempts for 849 yards and 9 touchdowns. A hostile Coliseum crowd tests whether that accuracy travels.
Jordon Davison — RB. On 33 carries he has turned out 194 yards and 4 touchdowns, a scoring rate that makes him a threat every time Oregon nears the goal line. His short-yardage work could keep the Ducks ahead of the chains on the road.
Matayo Uiagalelei — LB. Pressure is his calling card, and he brings 2 sacks into a matchup against a quarterback who has thrown the ball 115 times. Getting him home early would change the tone of the night for Oregon.
USC Trojans
Jayden Maiava — QB. Through four games the starting quarterback has completed 87 of 115 passes for 1,173 yards with 12 touchdowns and only 1 interception. Protecting the football against a ranked defense keeps the Trojans unbeaten.
King Miller — RB. With 338 yards and 3 touchdowns on 64 carries, the lead back gives USC balance behind its passing attack. A steady ground game would let the Trojans control tempo at home.
Kennedy Urlacher — S. His 2 sacks show how often the safety gets involved near the line of scrimmage. That knack for finding the quarterback gives USC’s defense a disruptive piece against Oregon’s passing attack.
