How to Watch Oklahoma vs. Georgia on September 26, 2026

You can watch the Georgia Bulldogs take on the Oklahoma Sooners live on DIRECTV on ESPN on September 26, 2026 at 3:30 PM ET.

Oklahoma (2-1) at No. 2 Georgia (3-0) — Game Preview

Oklahoma brings a 2-1 record into Sanford Stadium to face No. 2 Georgia, which is still unbeaten at 3-0 through three games. It’s Oklahoma’s SEC opener and its first-ever trip to Athens, with the Bulldogs protecting a spot near the top of the poll while the Sooners, who fell out of the AP Top 25 last week, get a chance to force their way back into the national conversation on the road.

The quarterback contrast frames the afternoon, with Gunner Stockton completing 38 of 45 throws for 583 yards and nine touchdowns without an interception, while John Mateer has put up bigger volume at 652 yards and six scores but has also thrown three picks. That makes ball security the thread to watch for Oklahoma against a Georgia defense that gets 2 sacks from linebacker Raylen Wilson.

Nate Frazier adds another layer for the home side, turning 24 carries into 202 yards and five touchdowns, though he enters the weekend listed as questionable. If he plays, he gives Georgia a way to lean on the ground game if the Sooners crowd the passing lanes. On the other side of the ball, Adepoju Adebawore and his 2.5 sacks are the likeliest source of pressure Oklahoma can put on Stockton in a loud Athens setting.

Players to Watch: Oklahoma vs. Georgia

Oklahoma Sooners

John Mateer — QB. Through three games he has completed 47 of 75 passes for 652 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions. The yardage says he can push the ball downfield, and the Sooners need that aggression without the turnovers against a Georgia secondary playing at home.

Lloyd Avant — RB. His 141 yards and one touchdown on 32 carries give Oklahoma a steady option on early downs. Keeping the offense on schedule with him would take some pressure off Mateer in a hostile stadium.

Adepoju Adebawore — DL. With 2.5 sacks so far, he’s the pass rusher Oklahoma will count on to disrupt an efficient Georgia passing game. Getting home even once or twice could change the rhythm of the afternoon.

Georgia Bulldogs

Gunner Stockton — QB. Efficiency defines his start, as he has hit 38 of 45 attempts for 583 yards and nine touchdowns without an interception. Oklahoma’s defense has to find a way to make him uncomfortable because clean pockets have produced points.

Nate Frazier — RB. Five touchdowns on just 24 carries tell the story of a back who finishes drives, and he has piled up 202 yards along the way. He’s questionable for Saturday, and if he’s available, he’s the closer Georgia can hand the ball to once it builds a lead.

Raylen Wilson — LB. A linebacker who has already recorded 2 sacks brings a blitz threat Mateer has to account for on every dropback. His ability to affect the quarterback fits the Bulldogs’ plan of forcing Oklahoma into mistakes.
