The morning of Saturday, May 2 at Shoreline Park, Team DIRECTV laced up for a great cause as proud sponsors of the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Long Beach Walk for Kids. The 5K brought together families, supporters and community partners to raise funds for families with children receiving medical treatment, a cause DIRECTV has long been proud to help support.
From the starting line to the finish, DIRECTV employees Yosmar Jaime, Echele Fleming, Todd Daw, Uma Maheswari Sivagnanam, Emily McFeely and Suganthi Muthuramu joined friends and family members for the 3.1-mile walk along the Long Beach waterfront. The team also helped distribute gift bags to participating children packed with goodies including chips, juice, Ronald McDonald toys and DIRECTV coloring books and activities.
Supporting RMHC families is something DIRECTV has proudly championed over the years, and events like Walk for Kids are another reminder of the impact communities can make when they show up together. Safe to say, a little sunshine, a waterfront walk and a lot of heart made for a Saturday filled with warmth.
