The Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Empower Field at Mile High to face the Denver Broncos on September 20, 2026, with Jacksonville looking to build on an opening-week win while Denver tries to shake off a season-opening loss. Jacksonville has been sharper on the money downs so far, converting 50.0% of its third-down tries compared to Denver’s 16.67%, and the Jaguars have also won the turnover battle at plus-2 while the Broncos sit at minus-1. Trevor Lawrence set the tone in Week 1, completing 18 of 23 passes for 245 yards and four touchdowns, and he now gets a Denver defense still finding its footing after one game. Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence — QB. Lawrence opened the season directing Jacksonville’s offense with precision, going 18 of 23 for 245 yards and four touchdowns in the Week 1 win. That kind of accuracy on early downs set up an offense that converted half its third-down chances, and it puts him in position to attack a Broncos defense still searching for consistency.
Bhayshul Tuten — RB. The rookie back carried the ball 15 times for 66 yards in his first outing, giving Jacksonville a downhill complement to Lawrence’s passing attack. He’ll look to find room against a Broncos defense that is still finding its footing through one game.
Parker Washington — WR. Washington turned five catches into 83 yards and a touchdown in the opener, emerging as one of Lawrence’s most productive early targets. His ability to win outside the numbers gives Jacksonville a big-play weapon as the Jaguars look to build on their fast start.
Josh Hines-Allen — DE. Hines-Allen recorded 1.5 sacks in the season opener, setting an early tone for a Jacksonville pass rush that will look to disrupt Bo Nix’s rhythm all afternoon. His ability to collapse the pocket could be the difference in a game Denver needs to keep close on early downs.
Denver Broncos
Bo Nix — QB. Nix completed 17 of 28 passes for 131 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Denver’s Week 1 loss, numbers he’ll need to improve on against a Jaguars defense that already forced two takeaways this season. Getting the Broncos offense into more manageable third-down situations than the 16.67% conversion rate posted in the opener is the clearest path to a better result.
J.K. Dobbins — RB. Dobbins carried the ball eight times for 36 yards in the opener, and a heavier workload could help Denver control the clock against Jacksonville’s offense. Establishing the run early would also take some pressure off Nix in the passing game.
Zach Allen — DE. Allen anchored Denver’s front with two sacks, five tackles and two tackles for loss in Week 1, giving the Broncos a legitimate source of pressure off the edge. He and the Denver defense will need a similar effort to slow down Lawrence and Jacksonville’s balanced attack.
