What is ‘Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking’ About?
Hosted by James and Oliver Phelps, who played Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter films, Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking challenges cake artists, bakers and pastry chefs to turn the creatures, spells and scenes of the wizarding world into elaborate edible showpieces. Inspired by the books and films, the competitors must combine creativity, technical skill and a little magic as they compete for the Wizards of Baking Cup.
Season 3 celebrates the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, just ahead of HBO’s new television adaptation, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, premiering Christmas 2026.
The baking competition introduces a new tournament-style format, with 12 returning competitors, none of whom has previously won the Cup, divided into four teams of three. Each team represents one of the four Hogwarts Houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. The season runs for seven episodes.
Duff Goldman and Sarah Mountain join the competition as the new “Ministers of Baking,” judging the teams’ creations throughout the tournament. The winning House takes home the Wizards of Baking Cup and a VIP trip to Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo.
