No. 10 Alabama (2-0) hosts Florida State (1-1) at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa on September 19, 2026, with the Crimson Tide looking to push their record to 3-0 in front of a home crowd. The Seminoles arrive from the ACC hoping to make a statement against SEC competition, while Alabama uses the nonconference matchup to keep building its résumé before conference play intensifies.

Players to Watch: Florida State vs. Alabama
Florida State
Ashton Daniels — QB. Daniels has completed 29 of 50 passes for 327 yards with two touchdowns and an interception this season, showing a willingness to push the ball downfield against ACC competition. The completion rate leaves room for growth, but the touchdown production suggests a quarterback capable of making the throws Florida State needs against a ranked SEC defense.
Ousmane Kromah — RB. The Seminoles’ lead back has carried the ball 36 times for 231 yards and two scores, a workload that signals Florida State’s intent to control the clock and keep Alabama’s offense off the field. Kromah’s per-carry average makes him the engine of the Florida State ground game heading into Tuscaloosa.
Mikai Gbayor — LB. One sack into the season, Gbayor lines up as a veteran presence at linebacker for a Florida State defense tasked with slowing Keelon Russell and Alabama’s passing attack.
Alabama
Keelon Russell — QB. Through two games, Russell has thrown for 444 yards on 34-of-53 passing with a touchdown and two interceptions, a workload that already marks him as a high-volume passer for the Crimson Tide. The interception total is worth watching against a Florida State defense looking to force turnovers.
Daniel Hill — RB. Three touchdowns on 27 carries for 151 yards have made Hill a reliable short-yardage weapon to pair with Russell’s arm. His touchdown rate makes him a red-zone factor whenever the Crimson Tide get into scoring position.
Devan Thompkins — DL. Two sacks already on the stat sheet, Thompkins sets the tone up front for an Alabama defensive line tasked with disrupting Ashton Daniels and the Florida State passing game.
