Campbell (2-0) at Florida (1-0) — Game Preview

Campbell arrives at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at 2-0 to face a Florida team that sits at 1-0 as the Gators open the home slate of their SEC schedule on September 12, 2026. It’s a measuring-stick spot for Campbell, a chance to see how a fast start outside the Power Four conferences holds up against SEC competition, while Florida uses the game to keep building momentum before conference play intensifies.

Florida quarterback Aaron Philo has completed 16 of 21 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns with one interception in his lone start this season, numbers that point to an offense capable of scoring in bunches. Campbell counters with Kamden Sixkiller, who has thrown for 673 yards and four touchdowns on 58-of-86 passing through two games, giving the Fighting Camels a legitimate downfield threat even with three interceptions mixed in.

Florida running back Jadan Baugh has been the early breakout in the backfield, turning just 14 carries into 160 yards and three touchdowns. Campbell wide receiver Spencer Jones has given Sixkiller a reliable target as well, catching 11 passes for 175 yards and a touchdown so far.

Players to Watch: Campbell vs. Florida

Campbell Fighting Camels

Kamden Sixkiller — QB. Sixkiller has completed 58 of 86 passes for 673 yards and four touchdowns through two games, though three interceptions suggest a still-developing decision-making process under pressure. He gives Campbell a legitimate downfield presence heading into a road trip against SEC competition.

Spencer Jones — WR. Jones has hauled in 11 receptions for 175 yards and a touchdown, emerging as Sixkiller’s top target early in the season. His production could test a Florida secondary still finding its footing this early in the year.

AJ Benton — LB. Benton has already recorded a sack this season, anchoring a Campbell front that will need to disrupt Florida’s passing game to keep the score respectable.

Florida Gators

Aaron Philo — QB. Philo completed 16 of 21 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns against one interception in the season opener, a start that points toward a Florida offense capable of putting up points in bunches. He’ll look to build on that against a Campbell defense making the jump up in competition level.

Jadan Baugh — RB. Fourteen carries produced 160 yards and three touchdowns for Baugh, instantly making him one of the more productive backs in the country through the first week of the season. Expect Florida to keep feeding him against a Fighting Camels front adjusting to a higher level of competition.

Kamran James — DL. James already has a sack to his name and figures to be a disruptive force up front for a Florida defense looking to make Sixkiller uncomfortable in the pocket.
