The Wild and the Innocent

Young fur trapper Yancy Hawks (Audie Murphy) heads to Casper, Wyo., for the first time when his injured uncle asks him to trade some pelts for essential provisions. En route Yancy encounters a family of vagabonds who try to cheat him into parting with his furs in exchange for their daughter, Rosalie (Sandra Dee). Rosalie manages to escape her cruel family, after which she heads to Casper with Yancy. Many hardships, however, await both youngsters in the corrupt and lawless town.
