James Dainard meets his match when tenacious, hands-on flipper Shawna pitches him a partnership on a dated and overgrown zombie-house; determined to prove herself, Shawna is ready to tackle a brutal timeline and do much of the work herself, even if it means swinging a hammer in her cowboy boots; James sees potential in the house but thinks Shawna might be underestimating the work needed to make this house profitable.

Seattle flipper James Dainard has tackled plenty of houses, and he loves the challenge of bringing the scariest zombie houses back from the brink of total destruction, but this one might be his worst yet. When he brings his team, construction manager Ryan and designer/realtor Megan, to check out the property, they think he can't be serious; the ramshackle house is rotting, packed with junk, buried in an overgrown yard, and looks like it could fall over with one strong push.

Seattle flipping pro James Dainard has built his reputation rescuing zombie houses other investors won't touch; when ambitious flipper Amanda brings him a unique potential partnership, he's intrigued: a crumbling mid-century modern designed by renowned architect Wendell Lovett that most investors would tear down; however, James sees a rare chance to restore an architectural gem.

Mid-Century Monstrosity

James Dainard is used to partnering with investors, but this time he's taking a leap of faith on someone close to home; his longtime contractor and friend, Kenny, wants to step out from behind the tool belt and partner with James on a flip; Kenny has found a tempting deal in a great part of Seattle, but James knows the transition from contractor to partner isn't easy; Kenny has a history of blowing budgets and stretching schedules, and the house itself is a puzzle.

James Dainard is faced with a big dilemma, do flip and friendship go together?; his longtime friend Carrie, friend to his wife Clair, has fallen on some tough times and wants James' help; recently divorced and eager for financial freedom, Carrie convinces James she can handle the project even though she is a complete novice; together, they tackle a mid-century modern disaster with an unfinished basement, small kitchen, and a single main-floor bathroom.

James Dainard has seen it all, but nothing quite like this; longtime real estate deal-finders Buck and Will want to partner with James and step into the flipping world, but they're total rookies; clueless about renovation but full of big ideas, they pitch James on a disaster of a house, a damaged roof, a choppy main floor, and a yard and deck that are more jungle than backyard.
