It's summer and time to work on the outside of the house; Tara and Percy paint it a beautiful off-white and enlist the help of friends to build a garden greenhouse; Percy's mom visits to help with the landscaping.

Winter has arrived and it's getting harder to stay warm; Tara and Percy install storm windows to keep out the cold; they renovate the guest and main bedrooms in preparation for a visit from Tara's mom; they struggle stamping a pattern on the walls.

While Tara and Percy get the house ready for the holidays, they renovate the bathrooms; they attempt to make their own tempera paint, but have trouble translating the Swedish directions.

During summer in upstate New York, home designers Tara and Percy head outside to work on some projects; they build a Dutch-inspired rock-and-wood sauna; Tara works on getting the garden beds ready for next year.
