Jewish Floridians in the U.S. military include four generations of the Abramowitz family, whose service dates back to World War I; former Capt. Ben Magidson, honored for his intelligence work in Afghanistan; and retired Col. Lettie Bien, a Bronze Star recipient for her role in Iraq in 2004.
