Recently divorced book publisher Susan Stone (Ally Walker) has lost her love for life. But after she slips and hits her head, Susan meets Suzie (Hayden Panettiere), a vibrant 7-year-old girl claiming to be Susan's inner child. With Suzie's help, Susan realizes that she has forgotten what is truly important and decides to rekindle her relationship with her family and pursue a romance with a charming lawyer (Tom Amandes) -- just in time for the Christmas season.
