Fog Over Frisco

Arlene Bradford (Bette Davis) is a careless socialite playing criminal in San Francisco's underworld, along with her ineffectual fiancé (Lyle Talbot), and unaware of the consequences her actions can bring. When Arlene's naivety leads to her disappearance, her grounded sister, Val (Margaret Lindsay), takes it upon herself to investigate. In the process, Val joins up with reporter Tony Sterling (Donald Woods) and photojournalist Izzy Wright (Hugh Herbert) -- but her life is in danger now as well.
