A criminal syndicate has been illegally freeing convicts, only to murder them after authorities offer reward money for the fugitives' scalps. Texas Rangers Tex Haines (Tex Ritter), Dave Wyatt (Dave O'Brien) and "Panhandle" Perkins (Guy Wilkerson) are charged with catching the thugs, and they hit upon a plan: Dave will get himself put in jail, the thugs break him free and Tex and Panhandle will arrest them. But, when the criminals realize the Rangers are closing in, things turn deadly.
