At the request of the U.S. President, Gene Autry (Gene Autry) goes undercover to infiltrate an outlaw gang that's been selling guns and alcohol to Native Americans as a way to cover up its own criminal activities. Aided by Pat Buttram (Pat Buttram), Autry's undercover operation is a success, and he soon befriends Dave Kilrain (Harry Lauter), the gang's leader. Autry and Buttram also receive help from Carolina Cotton (Carolina Cotton), who seeks revenge on Kilrain for killing her father.
