Throughout the 1990s, ultras groups continue to permeate stadiums in Spain; but in 1998, the murder of Aitor Zabaleta, a Real Sociedad supporter from Basque country, causes an an inquiry to be launched into the skinhead organization Frente Atlético and their even more radical splinter group, Bastion 1903.
