As the feuds on Shelbury Drive reach boiling point, secrets start to surface; Lee pressures Emma to give him more cash; as emotions run high, she stumbles upon a gruesome scene at home.

The Feud on Shelbury Drive

After receiving anonymous threats, Emma installs a CCTV camera in the front of her Shelbury Drive home, determined to find out who is sending her the notes; convinced that Derek is not only sending the mysterious notes but is also a magpie killer.

The row over Emma's extension becomes even more heated as her neighbors stand firm in their opposition to the build; when Emma asks Derek and Barbara to move their tree, the response is alarmingly aggressive.

The secrets and tensions on Shelbury Drive become thornier as friendships and marriages are strained, and the pressures of the extension begin to grow; Lee proceeds with his building plans, despite the party wall and planning issues.

Emma and John have been planning to move, but at one of Shelbury Drive's summer street parties, Emma tells John that she wants to stay and do a kitchen extension instead; John is strangely unenthusiastic, but Emma cheerfully spreads the news anyway.
