Zef needs to get to grips with traction, so he has challenged the Speed Freaks with converting a two-seater Mazda MX5 sports car into an off-road monster; Zef drives a purpose-built Dakar vehicle in an attempt to understand driving on sand.

Car control will be critical to Zef achieving the record, and it will also allow him to make corrections in the event the car loses traction; the Speed Freaks turn a Daihatsu delivery van into a drift car.

Zef looks to the future to help him achieve the record and explores performance-enhancing technology in a state of the art electric test vehicle. He sets the Speed Freaks a challenge of converting a Turbo Diesel Mercedes into an electric vehicle.
