Peter joins a helicopter team to conduct a census on Mexican wolves, then helps biologists relocate a wild lynx in the Cascades; in the Sierra Nevada, Peter and Dr. Rae protect bighorn sheep, and later study alligator conservation efforts in Georgia.

Captures for Conservation

Dr. Rae and Peter answer the call of wildlife in crisis as they head to the Cairns Turtle Rehabilitation Centre in Queensland, Australia; with a team of veterinarians and rescuers, they give a second chance to koalas, sea turtles and kangaroos.

Road to Recovery

From Australia and Puerto Rico to British Columbia and New Mexico, Dr. Rae and Peter team up with dedicated rescuers and help rehabilitation efforts for injured wildlife, including orphaned wallabies, parrots, fishers and Mexican wolves.

Back Where They Belong

Peter and Dr. Rae make a trek in the Cascades to remote camera traps aiding wolverine research; later, they learn how drones are being used to monitor koalas in Australia and witness footage being captured of gray whales near the Channel Islands.

Eyes on the Wild

Dr. Rae joins researchers using advanced tools in Mexico to study gray whales, wolverines and toads; meanwhile, Peter dives into the Great Barrier Reef where scientists are cultivating heat-resistant coral to help protect their fragile ecosystems.

High Tech Conservation

Dr. Rae and Peter join a team of biologists in Georgia's Okefenokee Swamp to study the American alligator; the team safely restrains the giant to capture conservation data, aiding preservation efforts for one of America's most important ecosystems.

Graduation Day for a Gator

Embarking on a scaly adventure from Texas to Florida to help rescue two of North America's most radical reptiles, Peter visits a nursery where baby lizards are raised while Dr. Rae teams up with a trained dog that can sniff out horned lizards.

Dr. Rae explores the wonderful world of mustelids, such as sea otters in Seattle; Peter joins a biologist in British Columbia who's protecting orphaned fisher kits, and later witnesses a milestone when one of them takes its leap back into the wild.

In Queensland, Australia, Peter and Dr. Rae join volunteers providing critical animal protection for rescued koalas and witness the rehabilitation of rare tree kangaroos; at a zoo in Texas, Dr. Rae provides care to rescued baby spider monkeys.

In the Puget Sound, Peter and Dr. Rae witness the urgent struggle of resident orcas facing a critical threat to survival; the journey continues to a remote lagoon in Mexico's coastal desert, where gray whales have staged an extraordinary comeback.

Peter assists in the release of a lynx on Washington's Colville Indian Reservation and explores initiatives to protect salmon in Oregon; Peter and Dr. Rae visit the Wind River Wild Horse Sanctuary to witness efforts to save wild mustangs.
